Creating something out of stained glass isn’t easy. It takes a lot of patience, a keen eye for detail, and a certain creative flare. The images below illustrate a few of the key stages to bringing a stained glass creation to life:

BEGINNERS CLASS: Three, 3-hour classes.

Learn the basics of cutting glass, grinding, assembly processes including copper foiling and leading, and cleaning and polishing.  Your first project will be a sun catcher or decoration.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS: Three, 3-hour classes. 

You will be introduced to more complex shapes and challenged with textured glass, while honing your previously learned skills from the Beginners Class.

Class Fees: $250 per person, all tools and materials provided.

ABSTRACT ART: One 3-hour class.

Collecting random pieces of glass and assembling them in an abstract way using hobby led instead of foil and solder.

Class fee: $90 per person, all tools and materials provided.


MOSAIC PAVING STONE: One 3-hour class, a second 1-hour class.

Using small pieces of glass, you will be creating a pattern or picture of your choosing, which will be adhered to a concrete paving stone. 

Class fee: $175 per person, all tools and materials provided.


FUSED PLATE OR BOWL: One 3-hour class.

Students will design and assemble 6 inch plates or bowls. Your project will be placed in the kiln and fused together over night. Arrangements to collect your work will be made during the class.

Class fee: $125, all tools and materials provided.


FUSED JEWELRY: One 2-hour class, a second 1-hour class.

In the first session, students will design and assemble several pieces of jewelry (pendants or earrings). The second session will consist of applying findings to the fused jewelry pieces.

Class fee: $60 per person, all tools and materials provided.


REGISTRATION:

All classes take place in my home studio. The address can be provided upon request via phone or email. Please note that closed-shoes must be worn in the workshop (no sandals). You will be working with sharp glass and hot solder. It's also a good idea to wear old clothes that you don't care about, just in case.

All tools and supplies are included in workshop price, unless you wish to upgrade your design from the one provided.

Children under 18 years of age must have a signed permission slip or accompanied by a guardian. The slip will be emailed to you prior to the class.

Workshops are limited to 6 participants. More than 3 children must have an accompanying adult.
