Creating something out of stained glass isn’t easy. It takes a lot of patience, a keen eye for detail, and a certain creative flare. The images below illustrate a few of the key stages to bringing a stained glass creation to life:

Beginners Class:

Consists of three classes, three hours each.  You will learn the basics of cutting glass, grinding, assembly processes including copper foiling and leading, and cleaning and polishing.  Your first project will be a sun catcher or decoration.

Classes are limited to 4 students per session, ages 12 and up.  Class scheduling is flexible and will be arranged via phone or email.

Intermediate Class:

Consists of three classes, three hours each. You will be introduced to more complex shapes and challenged with textured glass, while honing your previously learned skills from the Beginners Class.

Class Fees: $160 per session (includes 3 classes), due on or before the day of your first class. All materials, tools, and safety equipment will be supplied.

Added Fees: While all supplies are provided, you can upgrade your glass materials for the added price of the glass.

Other things to note:  closed shoes are a must, clothing may get stained, so wear old stuff.

About me and my studio:

When I took my first class at a community centre, it was one of those aha! moments. I fell in love with glass and the process involved in making beautiful things. Now, roughly 35 years later, I hope to show you the wonders of stained glass, so that you, too, may have one of those wondrous revelations yourself.

My studio is located in the basement of my home.  I recently renovated to update lighting and electrical.  I have a large supply of glass and all the tools needed to accomplish great projects.
